CB produces challan against drug peddlers

Jammu, Dec 19: Crime Branch Jammu produced challan against drug peddlers for causing the death of a young girl.
According to CB spokesman, in a case FIR No. 88, 2014 under section 304, 120-B RPC, and Section 8(c), 27-A, 28, 29 NDPS Act police station Channi Himmat Jammu against Vikram Singh alias Vickku, Rubail Sharma alias Chimpu duo resident of Talab Tillo, Yashjeet alias Kalia alias Chachu resident of Kangra Himachal Pradesh.
On October 10 2014, Police Station Channi Himmat, Jammu received an information through telephone from Police Control Room Jammu that one girl namely Divya Manhas daughter of Krishan Lal resident of Channi Himmat, Jammu was found in unconscious condition in front of the gate of her house.
As the girl did not regain her consciousness she was taken to GMC, Hospital Jammu by her parents where the doctors declared her as brought dead. Since the matter was pertaining to the death of a young girl in suspicious circumstances, inquest proceedings u/s 174 Cr.P.C were initiated by Police Station Channi Himmat, which was later converted into an FIR. The investigation was transferred to Crime Branch, Jammu by the J&K Police Headquarters on November 15, 2014.
During the course of investigation, it was found that two drug peddlers Vikram Singh alias Vicku and Robail Sharma alias Chimpu, used to provide Heroin to the deceased often. On the fateful day both of them in order to cause her death injected a heavy dose of heroin to her in Talab Tillo area.
The accused persons, in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy hatched between themselves, injected heavy dose of Heroin in the body of the deceased, as a consequence of which the deceased died due to Heroin poisoning which was confirmed by FSL Jammu. After establishing the offences u/s 304, 120-B RPC read with Section 8(c), 27-A, 28, 29 NDPS Act against the accused, a preliminary chargesheet was presented before the court of Learned Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu.
