Jammu, Jan 18: A minor girl was allegedly raped by her cousin at village Haripur in Hiranagar areaon Sunday morning. Police sources said that yesterday a man lodged a written complaint to police post Marheen that her 14 year-old daughter was raped by cousin of the victim. Acting on the compliant, medical examination of the girl was got conducted at Sub Division Hospital Hiranagar which was found positive.
Later, a team led by SHO Rajhbagh Sachinder Pal Singh, in-charge police post PSI Anand Dutta and SDPO Border Diwaker Singh arrested the alleged accused who have been identified as Rakesh Sharma of Haripur Padel. A case under FIR 06/15 under section 376 of RPC registered in Rajbagh police station and further investigation is on. |
