Kishtwar, Jan 18: In order to inculcate the art of public speaking among the young children, the District Information centre Kishtwar today organised a declamation contest in Bal Ashram Kishtwar. The topic of the program was 'Importance of Republic day for the citizens of india'. A total number of seven speakers participated in the contest who spoke in Hindi, English and Urdu languages. The speakers threw light over various phases of freedom struggle, making of constitution of India and the rights and duties of citizens of India enshrined in the constitution. District Information Officer Kishtwar presided over the function whereas CDPO Dachhan Dr. Atul Dutt Sharma, CDPO Padder Arun Kumar Badyal, Asst. director planning Manish Kumar Manhas and Dy. SP 16th battalion IRP Raja Majid Butt were Guests of Honour. Among the seven speakers, the jury chose Ajeet kumar as 1st, Sankesh Kumar as 2nd and Mohammad Younis as 3rd prize winner. All other participants were given consolation prizes. Incharge superintendent Bal Ashram Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar presented the vote of thanks. |
