| JKP XI, Khalsa Club register win in 3rd Christmas T-20 Cup for College Students, J&K Cricketers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 18: JKPXI and Khalsa club registered win and enters in the final of on going 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu and Fr.Kuriakose Chairman Christian Sports Org. Jammu and Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player is the organizing Secy. of the tournament.
Earlier, in the first match Khalsa XI defeated Samar Club by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Samar Club scored 138 runs in stipulated 20 overs for 9 wkts, with Chetan (44),Harinder (15) & Prithvi(14) were the main scorers.Nitin took 3 wkts,Ricky,Kalu,Prithi and Manu took 1 each.
Khalsa XI in reply achieved the target in 17 overs and made 140 runs for 4 wickets thus won the match by 6 wkts. Prothi scored 42 runs, Aamir made 38 runs and Lakhan scored 21 runs .Amar took 2 wickets , KK and Amrit took 1 wicket each for his team. Prithi decalared man of the Match.
In the second match, JKP XI scripted a comfortable win against Sarveshwar Club.
Batting First JKP XI made 166 runs in 20 overs for 9 wickets with Suman (45) and Jatin (37)Shashi (22) were the main scorers. Pardeep took 3 wickets each, Sadam,Ankush and Anil took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Sarveshwar could not achieve the target and were all out for 110 runs in 17 overs with Kavi (29) , Saqib (25) and Narotam (17) were the main scorers. Vishal took 5 wickets, Ankush took 3 Wickets ,Rajesh Gill and Shamsher shared 1 wicket each.Vishal adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem Ur Rehman, Suhail Yusuf, Nitu Khokher,Sanju, Vinod and Farooq.
Tomorrow: The final match between JKP XI and Khalsa XI shall be played at 11.30 am and the Prize distribution shall be held at 3.30 pm at the same venue. |
