USTA demands early release of salary of SSA, RMSA teachers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 17: J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) held its meeting under the chairmanship of Hari Singh Provincial President at Jammu and condemned inordinate delay in release of salary of teachers working under various schemes such as SSA, RMSA, NPS and KGBV and also Masters, Lecturers repatriated. During the meeting USTA members made fervent plea to concerned authorities immediately release all the grants as well as matching grants under head 2071 so as to enable DDO's to draw their pending salaries. "Many of teachers working under these schemes have not been paid salaries for 8-14 months, they said. Speakers said besides this there is inordinate delay in clearing routine matters in department offices particularly ZEO's and CEO's. Other demands highlighted in the meeting were senior teacher grade for trained undergraduate teachers, adjustment of newly promoted masters and lecturers, filling up vacant posts in education department, debarring teachers from non academic duties, and etc. Among others present in the meeting included Razib Kumar, Zulfakar Ali Malik, Shashi Pal Singh, Raj Kumar, Chamail Singh, Shanti Saroop, Kishori Lal and Darshan Lal. |
