Srinagar, Mar 17: Chief Judicial Magistrate today directed SSP Srinagar to inquire into the genuineness of a complaint filed by the General Secretary of Hurriyat Conference (G) against former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Ex-SSP Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari for their alleged involvement into the killing of youths in 2010. The HC leader Ghulam Nabi Sumji filed the complaint on the basis of 'revelations' made by SSP which were reported in a section of press. He has demanded investigation through concerned SHOs into the killings during the regime led by Omar Abdullah who is the working president of National Conference. He said it has become necessary to have investigation into the matter conducted, so that the truth comes to fore as regards the killings that took place during 2008, 2009 and 2010. "The allegations are serious in nature and requires to be proved further in order to arrive at conclusion about truthfulness or otherwise of the same," the CJM, V S Bhou, said after going through complaint filed by Hurriyat Conference leader. The CJM said further complicity of the persons complained against has to be established on the basis of allegations. "I, therefore, postpone the 'issue of process' for compelling the attendance of the persons complained against and direct an inquiry in terms of Section 202 CrPC to be conducted for the purpose of ascertaining the truth or falsehood of the complaint," the CJM said and directed the SSP Srinagar to file his detailed inquiry report before the Court on or before April 6. |
