Early Times Report Samba, Mar 17:Mar 17: A meeting of bankers and District/Sectoral Officers was held to review the progress and performance of bankers in key areas relating to deposits/advances and priority sector lending for the quarter ending December 2014. District Development Commissioner, Samba Sheetal Nanda chaired the meeting and reviewed progress achieved in sponsoring the cases by various departments like DRDA, KVIB, KVIC, DIC, Employment, SC/ST/OBC Corporation, Agriculture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry etc. under various schemes like KCC, NULM, JKSES, PMEGP etc. It was intimated that the deposit and advances of banks as on ending Dec 2014 stood at 241762 lacs and 126567 lacs respectively, thus achieving a CD ratio of 52.35%. Further, District has achieved 47.69 % of the total Annual credit Plan upto quarter ending Dec for the year 2014-15 . The Lead Bank Manager, Hans Raj Hans presented a detailed account of the performance of Banks during the quarter informed that the progress under Priority sectors, weaker sections and Credit Flow to women beneficiaries has been above the RBI stipulations. The house was informed that against the bench mark of 40% under priority sector advances, the banks have comfortably achieved 55.54% during the quarter. The achievement under advances to weaker sections of the society was 20.42% against the national goal of 10% and 5.75% to Women beneficiaries against national goal of 5%. Satbir Singh Beniwal Lead District Officer, Reserve Bank of India, Surinder Singh DDM NABARD, CPO Samba Devinder Singh, GM DIC Satish Sharma , Surinder Singh, DDM NABARD and representatives of various banks, besides the District/Sectoral Officers of various departments attended the meeting. |
