LMD conducts extensive market checking, imposes Rs 16400 as penalty 3/26/2015 12:31:52 AM Early Times Report Kathua Mar 25, A team of the legal Metrology Department (LMD) today conducted checking in main Bazar and imposed penalty of Rs. 16400 on the violators. According to press release, the team headed by the Assistant controller Legal Metrology, Kathua Ajay Kumar Verma and Comprising of the Inspector Legal Metrology Kathua and Dayalachack and checking of various Business establishment especially Gas Agencies, Karayana shops, Bakery Shops , Provisional Store, Hardware Stores, AttaChacki, Sweet Shop, Procurement Dealer, Steel units, Goldsmith,Cemant store. A total of 30 traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997.and Package Commodities Rules and 32 Challans of the booked traders were compounded by the undersigned and a penality of 16400 was imposed on the erring Traders during the current month.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
