Ex-Cong Minister sanctioned artificial lake project for personal benefit?

Jammu, Mar 25: A former Congress Minister, who is known for toeing Hurriyat line, came under severe criticism in the Legislative Assembly for sanctioning the project of artificial Lake at Jammu just for his own personal benefits.
Although BJP member Sat Sharma avoided disclosing name of the Congress minister, he dropped enough hints that a Congress Minister, who had encroached huge chunk of land in the Tawi Island, had sanctioned artificial lake project in Jammu just to get his encroached land legalized.
Participating in a debate on Finance Department, Sat Sharma made it point that various projects were sanctioned by the previous NC-Congress government but these projects remained only on papers. He said that some projects were sanctioned only to further personal interests of Ministers.
To substantiate his allegations, Sat Sharma, mentioned towards artificial lake project in Jammu. He said that artificial lake project was approved only to give benefit to a Congress Minister. "It was all due to personal interest of a Congress minister that artificial lake project was sanctioned", he said.
In the meantime Congress MLA, GM Saroori intervened and asked BJP MLA to disclose name of that Congress minister but the later refused to divulge the name. It is worthwhile to mention here that a Congress Minister, who is known for toeing Hurriyat line, had sanctioned this project. This Congress leader has huge chunk of land adjoining the site where construction of artificial lake project is going on.
