JAMMU, Mar 25 : On the directions of Director CAPD G. S. Chib, a team headed by Atam Dev Singh, Deputy Director (Supplies) Jammu along with team of officers conducted inspections/market checkings in the areas of Bakshi Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Rehari Colony, Amphalla, Resham Garh, Hari Market, Gummat, Jewel Chowk, and Ustad Mohalla and imposed a penalty to 37 commercial establishments and a fine of Rs. Ninteen Thousand was recovered on spot for violation of various provisions of Essential Commodities Act such as Non-display of Rate Lists, over charging, use of domestic cylinders for commercial purposes etc. The Director CA&PD was warned all commercial establishments not to violate the provisions under Essential commodities Act and adhered to the norms fixed and notified from time to time for displaying of rate lists, over charging or misuse of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes as the same is violative and warrants strict action against them.
