NIT Polytechnic starts Sri Sri Skills Development Centre 3/26/2015 12:52:53 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 25: NITS Polytechnic under the aegis of the Art of Living Foundation (Sri Sri Rural Development Program) starts skill development centre in Electrician trade. This is AOL's first skill development centre in J&K state. The inaugural function was attended by the Art of Living teachers , about 60 volunteers and general public of the adjoining area. Guru puja was performed by Swami Ashok from Banglore Ashram. Swami Ashok said that this is the 23rd AOL skill development centre in the country and expressed his confidence that this jammu centre will become a centre of excellence shortly. The director of the institute Savinder Gupta and an AOL Teacher himself speaking on the occasion said India is a rapidly growing economy with vast and ever increasing young population , the problem of unemployment is colossal as there is severe paucity of quality labor in view of our large sections of the population possessing little or no job skills. Keeping this in view with the blessings and inspirations of AOL founder His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji AOLs SSRDP wing ,Schneider Electric India Foundation and NITS Polytechnic will work very closely as associate partners in the field of skill development and providing vocational training in electrician trade to rural and other youth to empower them for employment and to become enterpreuners .
