8/3/2015 11:03:54 PM
Jammu, Aug 3 : Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (AVBP) state secretary Rahul Dev Sharma today held press conference in which he condemned state government for inclusion of Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper with a weight age of 30 marks in recent syllabus of Naib Tehsildar issued by the JKSSB.
He further said that why Urdu was made mandatory only for Naib Tehsildar post and not for Tehsialdar and other revenue officers who qualify administrative exams.
"The administrative appointee to such posts performs their work as well as their duty well, even though they have not qualified such Urdu paper as referred for Naib Tehsildar", he said, adding that such decision of government is answered by one and all. They demanded making changes in the syllabus and eliminating Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper. Sharma further said that if government will promote a particular a language this will not be tolerable and if government will not change syllabus ABVP will take strong action against this and government.
