Fire breaks out in Cedar Factory, over dozen workers rescued | | | Early Times Report BHADERWAH, Nov 20: A fire broke out in a Cedar factory at Jai road Bhaderwah here this in morning. As per police sources, a fire broke out in a Cedar factory at 5 AM morning . The owner of the factory has been identified as Abdul Gaffar Bhagwan of Vasak Dera Bhaderwah . After getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders along with fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames. Around 2 fire tenders were pressed into services from to douse the flames. After hectic efforts of several hours, the fire was brought under control and 60 per cent of the goods were saved from getting gutted. No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, where as manufactured products as well as raw materials and machinery worth Rs 40 lakh were destroyed. ASP Bhaderwah Amit Bhasin and SDPO Bhaderwah Sardar Sajjad Khan was personally supervising the fire fighting operation. According to firefighters, the cause of fire could not be ascertained, though it was suspected that short circuit in power cables ignited the flames. |
