Jammu, Nov 20: Sleuths of the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) have tightened their noose around government teachers giving private tuitions in coaching centres in Jammu region but on the other hand SVO has done nothing to prevent teachers from Kashmir division indulging in the same practice.
"Scores of private coaching centres are running adjacent to the office of State Vigilance Organization and PHQ at Airport Road. These institutions have hired government teachers for delivering lectures to the students but the SVO sleuths have turned a blind eye towards these centres," sources revealed. Meanwhile, a senior SVO officer said, "We are keeping a close watch on the activities of the coaching centres in Kashmir also."
Pertinently on Wednesday, the SVO sleuths raided six private coaching centres in Jammu and found that that some of the Government employees were actually delivering lectures to the candidates in these institutions.
Vigilance sleuths also seized records such as Enrolment register, cash memo, day book, Income tax returns and registration certificates.
Pertinently, the Education department recently had issued a circular stating that Lecturers/Masters/Teachers of Government departments have been banned from taking private tuitions. |
