Jammu, Nov 20: It seems there are no rules for yes men of Vice Chancellor of university of Jammu, while others are being being harassed. Sources informed Early Times the 'revolutionary' vice chancellor, Dr R D Sharma has pinned on director distance education, latter could be removed from post any time. "Revengeful attitude of the VC can be gauged from the fact that, a hand written suggestion of his yes men was added in agenda of university's council meet held on November 16. Removal of director DDE, was added in the agenda at the eleventh hour by VC during the meeting", sources claimed, adding that the development surfaced in absence of director DDE. Director DDE, university of Jammu was out of state for official work, when council meet took place, being chairperson, the VC added, few lines in the agenda of council meeting, specially targeting, director DDE. They said that the director takes stand when ever VC tries to shield his yes-men (blue eyed) posted at DDE, infuriated over director's approach, Prof Sharma is leaving no stone unturned to install his yes man as director DDE. Sources said that chancellor of university, Governor J&K, has asserted term of Registrar, Director DDE, Controller of Examination, Director CDC and equivalent posts have a fixed term of five years. "Since anarchy had prevailed in the administration long back, even appointments for administrative posts are being made in violation of laid norms", they claimed. They said no doubt, Prof VD Singh has completed years as director DDE, but at the same there were some blue eyed who have been sticking administration posts for more than five years "Prof D S Bhau, Director Physical Education has been holding the post for more than five years, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia has been holding charge of Head of Remote Sensing for six years, Prof Sohab Inayat Malik has been holding charge of Director Kishtwar Campus for past many years, Prof Jasvir Singh has been holding charge of chairperson NSS more than three years, they wondered. They further alleged that what VC is doing, is reflecting his revengeful attitude towards those, who stand by rules. |
