11/20/2015 11:06:48 PM
Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 20: The ban on private tution recently imposed by the government has not gone down well with the students in Kishtwar. The agitated students blocked the highway and demanded rescinding of the order.
The blockade was lifted following intervention of the Traffic SSP, Sandeep Wazir.
The angry students also called upon DC and Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kishtwar urging them to ensure reopening of the tution centres.
A student told Early Times that the syllabus had not been completed yet.
"We don't want any grace marks-we want our syllabus completed--- we are eying on competitive exams and imposing ban on private tuition is a harsh step taken by the government that can spoil our future," the students said.
Later the DC Kishtwar informed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Director School Education Jammu highlighting the student concern and urged them to intervene into the matter.
