Early Times Report Uhampur, Nov. 20: Udhampur and Doda units of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a two-day long awareness programme in Khaleni village of Doda District. The main objective of the campaign was to create awareness about Mother and Child Healthcare with special emphasis on reproductive, maternal, new born child and adolescent health schemes. The programme was conducted in close coordination with Health, ICDS, Education, Police and various state government departments. Various experts from Department of Health delivered lectures on various aspects of Mother and Child Health care as well as on other relevant issues. While presiding over the function, Om Parkash Katoch, Principal Government Higher Secondary School, Khaleni elaborated upon the benefits provided under various health related schemes. Gurnam Singh, Incharge, Field Publicity Unit, Udhampur highlighted the importance of the Campaign which has been launched for the betterment of the society.A students rally was also flagged off by Sandeep Chauhan, I/C Station House Officer, Khaleni. The programme concluded with a quiz competition. |
