JAMMU, Nov 20: Organised by the J&K Veteran Athletics Association, the Jammu District (field and track) Championship shall be held at Dusherra Ground, Sainik Colony, here on November 22.
The competition shall be held in men's above 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 years of age groups in the events of five kilometre run, three kilometre walk, 1600 meters, 800 meters, 400 meters, 200 meters and 100 meters races as also shot-put, javelin throw and long jump.
Similarly, in women's category, the competition shall take place in above 30 years, 35, 40, 50, 55, 60 and 65 years in three kilometre run and walk, 1600 meters, 800 meters, 400 meters, 200 meters and 100 meters. Shot-put, javelin throw and long jump events shall also take place.
All the athletes interested to take part in this event have been advised by the association to bring along records of their age proof. |
