Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 20: University of Jammu (JU) today registered their second consecutive win after they outplayed Chandigarh University by 48 runs in the ongoing All India VC Twenty20 Cup at Gorakhpur University. Batting first, JU made 141 with Niranjan Singh scoring highest 31 runs. Vishal Sudan and Raj Kumar added 25 and 19 runs respectively. From Chandigarh, Vijay Dogra claimed three wickets while Naveen and Rajesh shared two each. In reply, Chandigarh University bowled out for 93 runs to lose the game. Rahul Pathania remained top scorer with 22 runs. From JU, skipper, Daud Iqbal emerged as most successful bowler with four wickets, followed by Balwant Singh, who took three. Pawan Singh and Rajesh bagged two and one wicket respectively. For taking three crucial wickets, Balwant was named man of the match. Now, in their next outing, J&K shall take on Mumbai University on November 23. |
