Early Times Report POONCH, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) won the inaugural match of the Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial North Zone Volleyball Tournament beating Border Security Force (BSF) XI at Government Degree College ground, here today. Though JKP emerged winners, but it was not an easy outing. Losing opening two sets, Police fought back and dominated rest of the game to emerge 3-2 winner. The score: 17-25, 19-25, 25-18, 32-30, 15-12. Earlier, the competition was declared open by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Poonch, Shah Mohd Tantrey, who was chief guest. He interacted with the participating teams and encouraged the organisers, Shaheed Manjit Singh Volleyball Club. Today's matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Mulkh Raj, Wali Mohd, Kulwant, Gurmeet and Romesh. |
