PTS Warriors XI lifts PTS Cricket Tri-Series

KATHUA, Nov 20 : Police Training School (PTS) Warriors registered a fine nine wickets victory against PTS Daredevils XI to claim the PTS Cricket Tri-Series Cup held at PTS Kathua grounds, here today.
Principal PTS Kathua, Sanjeev Khajuria was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes.
Earlier, PTS Warriors won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, PTS Daredevils could make only 49 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the given eight overs. HC Ajay Kohli, Constable Kundan and SPO Sunil contributed 10 runs each. From PTS Warriors, Rajesh Gill, Jatinder Singh and Rajesh Jasrotia shared two wickets each while Sanjay bagged one from took 1 wicket.
In reply, PTS Warriors chased the target in just five overs for the loss of one wicket. Rajesh Gill and Rajesh Jasrotia remained top scorers with 30 and 19 in their respective accounts. DySP Kuldeep Tripathi look the lone wicket lost by PTS Warriors.
Rajesh Gill was adjudged as man of the match and best batsman while Rajesh Jasrotia was named best bowler. Rajesh Jasrotia was also declared man of the series.
The tri-series held under the supervision of Assitant Principal Indoor (CPO), Rajesh Gill. Other members of the organising committee included DySP, Ramnish Sharma, DySP Kuldeep Tripathi, DySP Ashok Sharma, Dr Khushboo, Ragubhir Singh, Rajesh Jasrotia, Arun (all Inspectors) and Sub-Inspector, Abhishek.
Speaking to the gathering, Principal PTS Kathua appreciated the organizing team for conducting the event smoothly and successfully for the staff members and for the trainees. He further announced that more cultural and other games events shall be organized at PTS Kathua in near future.
The matches were officiated by the technical penal comprising Ajeet Singh, Raman Khajuria and SI Kevel Sharma.
