Jammu, Nov 20: Police today arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs 1600/- from their possession during a raid conducted in an open filed Pandorian Manhesa under jurisdiction of Bishnah Police. Police have identified the gamblers as Gopal Singh, Kartar Chand, Jangbahadur, Sham Lal, Joginderpal, Raman Kumar all residents of Pandorian Manhesa. "On specific information police party led by Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary, SHO Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura S. Harjeet Singh and overall supervision of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand raided an open space at Pandorian Manhesa and arrested above said gamblers while gambling, police spokesperson said and added, "playing cards and Rs 1600 as stake money recovered from the spot." Police said that all the gamblers were booked u/s 13 Gambling Act. |
