BJP Ministers act like 'school kids'
Hide failures by claiming they are powerless

Early Times Report
srinagar, Dec 1: BJP Ministers have exposed themselves by approaching Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and by complaining to him like school kids that they are a bunch of "powerless politicians."
A BJP insider, while talking to Early Times, revealed that they were not powerless. "They (BJP Ministers) are non-performers. They are trying to hide their failures by propagating that they are powerless and cannot do anything."
He said the failure of BJP Ministers to live up to the expectations of Jammu people has left them red faced. "Now they are making excuses and are trying to project themselves as victims but the fact is that power has intoxicated them and it has gone in their heads. After taking over the charge they ignored the people who had elected them and remained busy in reaping the fruits of power," the insider claimed.
An analyst said that BJP Ministers "know it very well that they have lost their credibility and cannot face the people anymore". "Now they are trying to hide behind the excuses and are shifting the entire blame on PDP," he said, adding, "How is it possible that Ministers will be without powers?"
"BJP Ministers have not tried to perform and utilize their good offices for the welfare of people. Their achievement during the past eight months has been zero," the analyst added.
He said the infighting among the BJP leaders has taken toll on the governance. On the other hand PDP Ministers irrespective of their portfolios are doing their job. "Incompetence of the BJP Ministers has created a notion that PDP Ministers are calling the shots and are running the Government as per their own will."
Sources revealed that officials and bureaucrats have realized that BJP Ministers are not serious about their job and are only interested in getting people transferred from one place to another. "Another factor for BJP Ministers being in a mess is that they don't recognize the Deputy Chief Minister as their leader as they believe that they are power centres within themselves. Internal politics within BJP leaders has been the main reason for BJP losing popularity and its leaders turning into liabilities," they added.
A politician mocked at the claim of BJP Ministers that they are not taken into confidence and are Ministers for name sake. "BJP Ministers should realize that they are not class-IV employees. They are Ministers and if they assert they can turn the entire system upside down," he added.
The politician said, "Someone should ask the BJP Ministers whether they have taken any pro-people initiative since the day they took over the reins of the State. Had they taken any pro-people initiative and had it been turned down by the Government, one could have sympathized with them. They should learn from their mistakes and become people friendly rather than remaining confined to their shells," the politician added.
He said BJP Ministers should realize that nothing can be achieved by erecting hoardings and creating controversies. "They need to deliver otherwise they will become a history," he added.
