Terrorist Saeed punctures Sharif's 'peace' balloon

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 6: The most wanted terrorist in India and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed issuing two warnings to India within a week have punctured the tall claims of the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that he won't allow the soil of his country to be used for spreading terror against India.
Saeed on Friday led an anti-India rally in Mirpur and warned India that if "war" in Kashmir is prolonged further, India would have to pay a heavy price for it.
Just two days before he justified the attack on Pathankote airbase and claimed that it was carried out by the Kashmiri militants, despite it being proven beyond doubt that JeM terrorists hailing from Pakistan had struck at Pathankote.
He even warned of more Pathankote attacks in future.
A defence analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It's unfortunate that despite Hafiz Saeed issuing open threats to our country. We are just acting as mute spectators and are not responding to the threats."
He said, "Probe ordered by Pakistan into Pathankote terror attack is nothing more than mere eyewash aimed at hoodwinking India and the international community."
The analyst said, "Pakistan observed so-called Kashmir solidarity day on February 5 (Friday) and anti-India rallies were taken out across the country. It's strange despite Pakistan leaving no stone unturned to provoke us we are acting as mute spectators and are hoping against the hope that neighboring country would act against the terror masterminds who are spreading hatred against India."
A senior Congress leader, who wished not to be named said, "When BJP was in opposition it left no chance to target the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and used to call him weak. It's strange that despite BJP enjoying majority in the Parliament and having strongman as the Prime Minister is dancing to the tunes of Pakistan."
The Congress leader said, "Our party was always blamed for being soft towards terror. Time has proved whether we were soft towards terror or the present regime led by strongman Narendra Modi is soft towards terror."
The irony is that the terrorist Hafiz Saeed led an anti-India rally a day after India asked Pakistan to "rein in" him and voiced "grave concern" over his activities in that country. "Hafiz Saeed is globally-designated international terrorist. His claim that his many front organisations are carrying out charitable work is not even a fig leaf. He indulges in terrorist activities and terrorist financing. It should be a matter of grave concern to everyone that terrorists like Saeed and his associates continues to enjoy the freedom to indulge in their activities (in Pakistan)," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup had told reporters on Thursday.
On Friday Hafiz Saeed said, "On the occasion of Kashmir Day I want to say that every child in Pakistan is ready to sacrifice his life for Kashmir. Our Constitution also demands us to support Kashmiris in their struggle," he said.
He even advised Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to break relations with India and said that there should be no relations with it "till Kashmir is freed".
An analyst while reacting to Saeed's speech said, "This man has added insult to our injuries. He was the main conspirator behind the Mumbai attack and has been instrumental in sending terrorists to Kashmir. Even MeA knows it but how helpless we are that we cannot do anything despite having one of the bravest Army at our disposal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his colleagues should sit together and revisit India's Pakistan policy. Enough is enough can't take it anymore."
