After 4 days, train services resume
4/17/2016 9:35:47 PM
Srinagar, Apr 17: Train services resumed in Kashmir valley after four days of suspension.
A Police official told Sunday afternoon that trains resumed services as per schedule this morning.
Train services across Kashmir were suspended following killing of three persons in North Kashmir's Handwara on last Tuesday afternoon. As violence extended and more three persons were shot dead by forces, train services remained suspended up to Saturday.
Kashmir observed complete shut down on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday against civilian killings during protests following an alleged molestation by an army man in Main Handwara chowk. "Trains resumed services and plied to and fro between Baramulla and Qazigund," the official said.
Meanwhile, life limped back to normalcy in Kashmir after four days, however, strict restrictions are in place in Kupwara areas today. More so, mobile internet services remain completely snapped under Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP government following the incidents of killing in North Kashmir in last week.
