Padder land feud: Victim family accuses Police of bias
SPO allegedly opened fire on victims

Kishtwar, Apr 17: The family of victims of land feud who were injured in an assault by the group of people, including their relatives on 14-4-2016 accuses Padder Police of Kishtwar District of bias and added that police failed to take action against the guilty persons under FIR No. 3/2016 Dated 14-04-2016 U/S 307/147/148/ 109/447/ 341 RPC of Police Station Atholi Padder.
While talking to "Early Times" the victim family whose three persons namely Farooq Ahmed son of Abdul Aziz Butt, Shafiqa Begum wife of Farooq Ahmed and Ruksana wife of Khurshid Ahmed all resident of Kijae Padder were injured in an assault by group of people including their relatives and were later shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar alleged that despite registration of an FIR by the Padder police, the accused who are trying to grab their land forcefully are still roaming free and are threatening them again and again.
They said that despite identification of about 19 people including SPO Mohammad Amin Belt No. 1001posted at police post Kijayae involved in attacking their family members, Padder police did not act against any of the accused even after four days of the incident. They alleged that the SPO Mohammad Amin fired some rounds of fire with some weapon to terrorize them and added that the said SPO went absent from duty to join their attackers.
When contacted, senior police officer at Kishtwar assured action and said that one person has been arrested so far and police is conducting raids to arrest other accused named in the FIR. He said that the role of SPO Mohammad Amin is also being investigated and no guilty person will be speared.
