Murder attempt foiled, 4 held with weapons | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 17: With the arrest of four gangsters and recovery of three country made pistols and three sharp-edged weapons from their possession, Trikuta Nagar police today claimed to have foiled a possible murder attempt on their rival. A police spokesman said that on a specific information, cops led by Trikuta Nagar police station SHO, Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria intercepted four gangsters at a special naka. "During frisking, police recovered three country made pistols and three sharp-edged weapons from his possession," he informed. Police identified the accused as Harjeet Singh, son of Gurmukh Singh of Nanak Nagar, Gurmeet Singh, son of Rajinder Singh of Preet Nagar, Aijaz Ahmed, son of Sain Mohammad of Thandi Khui, Vijaypur, and Balwinder Singh, son of Balwant Singh of Dhango Road, Pathankote. Police said the group was going to attack Jaspreet Singh alias Tina, son of Kulwant Singh. On January 11 also, the accused had allegedly attacked Tina and Gagandeep Singh, son of Amarjeet Singh of Nanak Nagar, when they were travelling in a Scorpio (JK02BC-5684), near Talli Morh, Janipura. Both Tina and Gagandeep were coming from High Court side when they were attacked. |
