PHE daily wagers continue their strike on 46th day 4/26/2016 10:40:17 PM Early Times Report Vijaypur. Apr 26: The strike by daily wagers working in the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department today has entered into 46th day while affecting water supply to many parts of the city and other areas. The workers protesting under the banner of All J&K PHE, ITI-Trained and CP Workers Association are demanding regularisation of their service and better wages and have suspend work as to register their protest. Speaking on the protestors, Raj Kumar President, PHE Daily Wagers Vijaypur said that the state government has failed to release their wages in time putting them to face difficulties on economic fronts especially to manage their household responsibilities. He said even the education of their children is affected due to the nonpayment of their dues as school managements are not allowing the children of daily wagers to continue their academics for nonpayment of school fees. Pertinent to mention protesting workers are demanding regularisation of their service and payment of wages in time.
