Parents of NIT students accuse BJP of supporting anti-nationals for power

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 26: As opposition Congress has hijacked NIT issue, the arrogant BJP leadership ultimately woke from deep slumber by starting an exercise to establish contact with parents of the affected students.
Neither parents nor NIT students are so far giving any response to the BJP after the one member investigating team constituted under the directions of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh shifted all blames on non-Kashmiri students for trouble.
Credible sources said that sensing that this issue of National Flag is likely to snowball into a nationwide controversy, the BJP leadership this afternoon has asked state unit to establish contact with the parents of the agitating students and convince them not to allow political parties to do politics on this issue. "Some BJP leaders today tried to establish contact with these families but nothing positive emerged because these families have shown helplessness to convince their children to join NIT Srinagar amid threats", sources said and added that some parents have reportedly taken BJP leadership to task for supporting anti-national forces in Kashmir Valley for the lust of power.
Credible sources said that BJP leadership is worried because instead of taking action against those who took to brutal lathi-charge on non-Kashmiri students, one man inquiry commission has rather blamed victims as culprits. The one man inquiry commission was constituted on the direction of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, who had visited Sriangar after police brutality on the non-Kashmiri students.
The victim students have also questioned validity of the inquiry commission because none of the victim was contacted by the commission. Instead of talking to the victims the Inquiry Commission has talked only with those who had used force on those who dared to raise pro-India slogan in NIT Srinagar campus.
