| Hurriyat (G) assault on NULM exposes its ideological myopia | | |

Jammu, Apr 26: Hurriyat (G), a votary of separatism, is still living in an era of conservatism averse to change in thinking and new innovative modern schemes being launched by the government to ameliorate the lot of downtrodden class of society.
The analysts while commenting on media reports, state that the apprehension expressed by Hurriyat (G) that PDP-BJP Govt is hell bent to change demography of Kashmir and trying to alter the Muslim character of J&K under the garb of National Urban Livelihood Mission launched by the government is designed in a futile attempt to misguide the Kashmiris and is based on its narrowness to thrust its conservative thoughts to prevent the lower strata of society in J&K from growing up economically which can enable poor and needy people of the State to get educationally and politically sound enough to understand the dubious intentions of forces rather hell bent to destroy and decimate the well wishers and right thinking people of the State ostensibly to establish it's hegemony here with no rule of law and accountability.
The critics ridiculing the theory of separatists which is nothing but negativism bluntly say that the protagonists of separatism are totally clueless about the far reaching benefits of people friendly schemes launched by the govt including National Urban Livelihood Mission scheme which is the corollary of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation restructuring Swarna Jyanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana based on three aspects covering residential, social and occupational vulnerabilities which are designed to provide basic facilities and alleviate poverty from urban areas. The utterances of separatists faction are to simply befool and deceive the people creating hatred in the mind of Kashmiries by raising the boggy of change in demography and dwindling the Muslim majority in Kashmir which, they say, is a rubbish proposition as J&K is a state established with dominated Muslim majority with people of heterogeneous religions living peacefully together and there is no reason rather should have no apprehension about minimising the Muslim majority as is being visualised on this front.
Allaying the fear of Hurriyat people regarding change of demography of J&K due to NULM scheme, the political analysts say that Jammu and Kashmir does not mean only Kashmir, as they probably surmise and the holistic view of the State divulges that Hindu, Sikh, Christians and people of other religions are the residents of state with Muslim majority spread all over always pining to live together which is the symbol of greater harmony of the State serving as a glaring example not only for the country but the world to see, further say, adding that only for the hack of few disgruntled groups of people who are rather interested to destroy the heterogeneous status of unity in diversity of the state for their petty gains which in long run can not serve the purpose of forces hell bent to alienate the people of J&K state having decades old harmonious relations which is an historically established fact. |
