RSS takes state BJP to task for keeping high command in dark

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: Taking serious note of the NIT Srinagar episode, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has taken state BJP leadership to task for its misleading feedback on the burning issue, which has been in new for the last around a month.
According to sources in Sangh Parivar, the RSS top brass has come to know that the state unit of BJP and its ministers misrepresented the facts about ongoing struggle of non-Kashmiri students of NIT Srinagar.
While elaborating, sources added that the State BJP leaders and its senior minister in the Mehbooba Mufti-led coalition government allegedly told the high command that the NIT issue was a minor administrative problem of the students with regard to their academics and campus related grievances.
They had even claimed that once the students go to their homes and stay with their families for a few days, everything would be normal. However, even after a fortnight since the students left the campus, no one among them is ready to go back to attend the regular classes or even appear in the exams. They are still taking out protest rallies in support of their demands, such as hoisting of national flag on the NIT campus, permanent deployment of CRPF on the campus, action against anti-national faculty members, action against guilty policemen who subjected them to brutal lathicharge on April 5, etc.
While the self style hard core nationalist BJP and its sister organizations like ABVP are maintaining a mum over the grievances of these students, the organizations like NSUI and Panthers Party are taking to streets by linking this issue with national pride.
Worried over the scenario, sources said that a team of RSS offshoot visited Jammu for two days and assessed the situation besides taking feedback over the issue following which the gameplan of misinformation and misleading attempt of State BJP leaders came to fore.
After coming to know about the real picture, sources said that the RSS top brass has taken the State BJP and ABVP leadership to task for their failure to take care of nationalistic sentiments of students.
Besides, the high command has now decided to handle the issue directly thus clearly conveying that it has no more faith on the state unit leadership.
