jammu, Apr 26: Separatist and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi has been taken into custody and shifted to Rambagh police station in Srinagar to stop her from moving to Handwara where four persons were killed in forces' firing a few days back. As she was scheduled to address a public rally at Handwara today, she was kept under house arrest Monday night. Later, she was taken into custody and shifted to Rambagh police station in Srinagar, police sources said. Handwara, which witnessed violent protests over the civilian killings, has now returned to normalcy. Police took her into custody as it was feared that there could be law and order problem if she addressed a rally at Handwara, the sources added. Sources said she wanted to address a public rally at Handwara even as she did not have permission for it. |
