Kathua, Apr 26 : "World Book Day" a celebration! It is a celebration of authors, illustrations, books and reading. Based on this theme Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu organized an essay writing competition from classes 5th-10th in the school premises. The students were given the topic: "Books Are Our Best Friends", wherein students explored their pleasure of books in their views regarding the impact of right choice of books in their lives. They threw light on what usually books meant for them, Reading-Books increase their vocabulary and help in exploring the world with confidence. "Once a child learns to use books, the doors to learning are always open." During the special Assembly organized in the school, Principal cum Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima encouraged the students to develop reading as a hobby and explore the pleasures of books and reading. |
