Jammu, Apr 26 : Ten cadets from 2016 passed out class XII batch of Sainik School Nagrota have been selected in the ongoing Service Selection Board Interview to join the National Defence Academy. According to press release, the cadets will be joining the 136th course at the Academy. These ten cadets were among the 22 cadets of the school who cracked the UPSC-NDA written examination held in September 2015 and subsequently the results were declared in January 2016. With one more cadet still undergoing the SSB Interview, the school reached the double digit in this final selection first time after winning Raksha Mantri Trophy for maximum entries in to NDA in 2008. Col KD Koushal, Principal congratulated all the successful cadets and attributed the excellent performance to the positive attitude and hard work of the cadets under the dedicated guidance and support of officers and school faculty. The Principal expressed confidence that the NDA cell created by him exclusively for imparting training to cadets right from class VII to face UPSC NDA Written Examination will bear fruits in the long run and bring excellence to Sainik School Nagrota. The selected to join NDA are Tushar Sharma, Namkha Dorje, Ashish Kumar, Shahid Nazir, Shubham Sharma, Aaquib Khursheed, Manas Pratap, Vishal Singh, Sandeep Chahal and Ankush Parihar. |
