Gujjar drowns, man found dead | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 15: A Gujjar drowned in Ranbir Canal while trying to rescue his cattle went into the canal at Kanachak area, this morning. Meanwhile, an unidentified man was found dead after being allegedly hit by an unknown vehicle in a locality under jurisdiction of Kanachak Police Station. Police said that body of the deceased identified as Fateh Mohammmad of Kanachak could not be traced. Police officials further said that they have informed the concerned department for diverting the water of the canal for recovering the body. Meanwhile, police have recovered body of an unidentified man who was found dead after allegedly being hit by an unknown vehicle at Kanachak area. Police sources said that some passersby noticed a the man lying unconscious in injured condition on the road side and reported the matter to police. "After getting the information police reached the spot and shifted the man to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu where he was declared as brought dead. The body was later shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for identification and other legal formalities. Meanwhile the concerned police have registered cases in respective matter at Police Station Kanachak and further investigations are on. |
