Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 15: Seeking tough measures against separatists and their supporters in Jammu and Kashmir, National Secular Forum (NSF) in a massive protest demonstration held outside M.A.M. PG College, flayed the coalition govt for being soft on anti-national elements especially Hurriyat Conference, which are responsible for the prolonged tension among the communities throughout the State. Scores of the activists of the Forum led by its president Dr Vikas Sharma burnt the effigy of Pakistan besides raised slogans against the hostile neighbour.
While addressing NSF activists, Dr. Vikas Sharma condemned Hurriyat Conference and its allies for inciting violence in the Valley for past over two months. He flayed the PDP-BJP coalition govt in the state as well as BJP led govt in Centre for keeping soft hand on the anti national elements.
"The State has been facing unrest for consecutive 69 days for now but instead of taking stringent measures against the anti national elements the state as well as the Central government are busy in lip service only", he expressed.
The Home Minister Rajnath Singh and even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had indicated to withdraw special arrangements for the separatists including Z plus security cover and special grants. But unfortunately the said statements were only proved fodder for the news headlines as no action was initiated against separatists till date, said Dr Sharma.
'At a time when it is an open secret to all that the ongoing trouble in the valley is sponsored by Pakistan, and Separatists leadership especially the Hurriyat conference is playing second fiddle to it, what stops the authorities to take stringent action against the anti-national elements" Dr Vikas questioned and added that the government instead of serving verbal instructions should take immediate action against those responsible for the large scale violence in the valley and other parts of the state.
"No anti-national ideology from any forum should be accepted. Stern action should be taken against separatists. Let them go to Pakistan and be its citizens," he added. He maintained that integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India is full and final; and no person has right to raise objection and any so, should be dealt sternly so as to set a right precedent, he further said. Among those who were present in the protest included Papinder Singh, Rishi kesh Rana, Vinay Charak, Vipul Rajput, Aman Sharma,Yasin Malik, Umar Frook, Ankush Gupta, Vikas Deep, Anshu Sharma and others.
