| Academic arrangement lecturers demand regularization | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sep 15: A meeting of All 10 Plus 2 Academic Arrangement Lecturers Union sought regularization held under the chairmanship of District president Jog Raj in which 30 academic/ Contractual Lecturers have participated and discussed about the discrimination and step-motherly treatment by the J&K government those who have engaged on contractual basis for last 15-16 years on low wages.
In this meeting Vinod Kumar, a contractual lecturer who have spent his 15 years in Education department on contractual basis with the hope that Government would regularize him as it regularized lecturers in Kashmir Division, said that they were thankul to Former education Minister and Chairman of National Panthers' Party Harshdev Singh who fight for them on the grounds of Government order no. 1301/edu of 2003 dt.31-07-2003 and Special provision Act 2010 dt 28-04-2010 passed by the Government itself. All 10 plus 2 Academic arrangement Lecturers union sought regularization and informed that most of the candidates have got overage and unable to restart their career anywhere else.
The Union appealed state government and present education minister Naeem Akhtar to regularize these persons according to the orders and acts issued by state government in their favor.
They also expressed gratitude to Harsh Dev Singh and sought immediate action in this. |
