Health dept organizes 'Out of school youth programme' | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 15: Health Department on Thursday organized an "Out of School Youth Programmes" on HIV/AIDS sensitization training programme with active participation of Youth Clubs, Mahila Mandals, Panchayat and rural community at Bakhta, Kathua. According to press release, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, KAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua was Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, he conscious the public especially youth about the fatal impact of HIV/AIDS which is greatest health challenges all over the world for mankind. "HIV/ AIDS is cureless disease and awareness, self-discipline, self control is the only media to check and control over this fatal disease. Indian old tradition and culture is well defined guidelines for check on HIV/AIDS from our society", he said. He also urged to take care and love to those who are suffering from HIV. Som Datt Zard, District Youth Coordinator, NYK discuss various issues pertaining to the role of Youth Clubs and individual in preventing and checking of HIV / AIDS, causes of HIV infections, symptoms of HIV, preventions, health facilities for HIV tests and treatments etc. being providing by Health department. A Workshop on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control was also organized. In which over 120 participants both male and female hailing from 7 surrounding villages were participated. |
