POONCH, Oct 6: Police are alleged to be dragging feet in an alleged case of assault by six persons, including two women, on a woman and her son at their residence here a few days back.
Though the woman, identified as Sakeena Bi, had brought the matter to the notice of a DSP here, any legal action against the accused was yet awaited.
Sakeena's son Mohammad Hafeez also led a deputation to the DSP who said police could force the two rival parties to arrive at a compromise as their work was only to probe into the complaints.
A dispute between the two parties was said to be the reason behind the incident. Hafeez has appealed the deputy commissioner, Poonch, higher police authorities to intervene in the matter and help him justice. |
