| Surgical strikes in PoJK a gospel truth | | Nation with Army | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 6: Indian Army have been performing a wonderful job in the state by not only defeating the evil game plan of the Pakistan and the Pakistani-sponsored terrorists but also securing the life of the people, including politicians. They have been making supreme sacrifices for the national cause ignoring threat to their own life and limb. They are so committed, chivalrous and disciplined. That they are showing Pakistan its real place could be seen from the fact that they crossed over to PoJK, attacked and demolished at least 7 terror camps and terror launching pads, liquidated at least 35 terrorists and returned without facing any casualty. Only one soldier suffered an injury.
It was a feat that should have been hailed by one and all in the country to further boost the morale of the fighting Army and considering the fact that India was in the middle of war with Pakistan, but it was not to be. The Congress, the Aam Admi Party, the Janata Dal United and so on, instead of appreciating the surgical strikes questioned the claim of the Army. They have been demanding proof overlooking the fact that the revelation of details of the operation would help Pakistan and hamper our military operations.
It was hoped that the Congress and similar outfits would keep their mouth shut after many leading news channels and a leading national daily gave solid proof of the surgical strikes, but it didn't happen. They continue to question with the Pakistani military and political establishments and biased media exploiting the dubious stand of the Congress, the AAP and the JDU to the hilt and telling the international community that no surgical strike took place. Obviously, the perverted attitude of the perverted parties like the Congress has shocked the Army and all former diplomats and Commanders - shocked and angered to the extent that they are castigating them and charging them with playing with national unity.
They are playing a dangerous game; they are playing into the hands of the enemy. People are saying that they more than Pakistan are posing a threat to national unity. "Enemies within are more dangerous than the enemies outside," they are saying, and very rightly.
The BJP is also not fair. It is using the surgical strikes for political gains. It has put up posters and hoarding across Uttar Pradesh and it is also using these surgical strikes for political gains in Punjab. Both Punjab and UP are poll-bound states. The BJP has to stop politicizing the military feat. The BJP is in power at the centre and the military feat would automatically help the BJP in UP and Punjab.
The truth is that neither the Congress and similar other outfits not the BJP are fair towards the Army. This is a dangerous trend. It is not time for politicking; it is time for unity among all the political parties. They must speak in one voice. This would enhance the morale of our armed forces and the result would be a comprehensive defeat ofPakistan. The Army need the political backing. India is not Pakistan where Army rules the roost and decides foreign policy. India is a democratic country where political establishment takes policy decisions. It is hoped that the Indian political class would see the writing on the wall and stand solidly behind the Army. Support to Army and criticism of South and North Blocks cannot go on hand-in-hand. |
