Rajouri, Oct 6: Officials of J&K Finance department , Jammu today interacted with the traders, dealers , advocates etc from Rajouri & Poonch districts in a seminar conducted by the office of Rajouri based Commercial Tax Officer on the forthcoming GST system. Sukhpal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Arvind Sahni, Pankaj Sasan & Nawaz Chowdhry all Commercial Taxes Officers, explained to the participants in details about the GST system which will soon be introduced in the state of J&K. More than two hundred traders, dealers, advocates, sales tax consultants from border districts of Rajouri & Poonch attended the seminar held at ITI complex at Rajouri. The officials from the Finance Department throw light on the recently introduced GST bill and deliever lecture on the structure of the goods and service tax. A healthy & detailed discussion between the officials and the participants was also held on the present Value Added Tax (VAT) syatem and forthcoming GST. "There is a widespread consensus in economic and business circles that implementation of GST would be transformative for the Indian economy in its pursuit to rapid growth" said Sukhpal Singh. |
