Services affected at Post Office Poonch due to Internet breakdown, Power failure 10/13/2016 9:47:34 PM Sushil Dutta Early Times Report RAJOURI, Oct 13: Asserting that the routine services at Post Office Poonch, are affected due to poor internet connectivity and frequent power failure, the resident and students from Poonch town have demanded installation of V-SAT facility besides generator/inverters to provide alternate power supply to the post office for normal customer functioning. According to sources, the services at post office got affected due to poor internet services in Poonch city and frequent power cuts. "The visitors visiting Post Office for their day to day work show their concerns over the poor state of affairs in Post office Poonch, locals said. They said that Poonch Post office should be provided V-SAT facility and a generator set for smooth functioning of the office. Retd Dy Director Health Services Dr Subash Raina, said, "though the staff posted at Poonch Post office is highly cooperative but they are helpless in the absence of internet services and power supply which takes toll of their consumer services. The staff too feels odd when they are forced to turn down consumer's request whenever there is power failure or non availability of internet connections. Another visitor to Post Office, Imran Tariq said, " This Post office has a huge work load because it is catering to the need of whole district but I wonder why the higher authorities of postal department atre least bothered to look into the genuine issues hampering the normal functioning of post office." Frequently the visitors are mocked by a board/placard depicting 'Internet services out of order,' he added.
