Brig Sukhdev Singh also dwelled deep into India's stupendous success of capturing 90,000 Pakistan Prisoners of War and said that any decision at that particular time would have favoured India , but held the then prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru responsible as game-changer.

Post-Independence, the Army has excelled itself admirably in every operation; be it recapture of area taken by Pakistani raiders soon after J&K acceded to India, dealing with Pakistan aggression in 1965, creation of Bangladesh in 1971, Kargil operations 1999 or dealing with terrorists fr anywhere inside India. Indian Army has also been doing well in UN peacekeeping missions in the world. Recently the Army successfully launched cross LOC strike causing heavy casualties to the terrorists.
