| Security forces should have allowed ultras to escape to save EDI building, suggests Er Rashid | | MLA turns spokesman of terrorists! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: The independent MLA with separatist leanings, Er Rashid, on Thursdaydonned the shoes of terrorists and tried to act as their spokesman, by questioning the move of the security forces to kill the two terrorists in the EDI building on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Srinagar outskirts.
It's in place to mention here that security forces gunned down two terrorists in the EDI building in a 3-day gunfight on Wednesday. The terrorists had stormed the building on Monday and had challenged the security forces. They were cornered and killed in an 57-hour encounter.
This was for the second time in 9-months that terrorists targeted the EDI building and engaged the security forces. The EDI since its inception has helped hundreds of Kashmiri youth to become self reliant by making them eligible for the self employment schemes.
Maximum people in Kashmir are of the opinion that terrorists targeted the EDI building to keep the Kashmiri youth away from jobs and them becoming self reliant.
The only Kashmiri, MLA Langate Er Rashid, who draws a five figure salary for representing Langate constituency in the Legislative Assembly, issued a ridiculous statement this afternoon stating: "All these warriors of Kashmiris should answer that had terrorists attacked Taj Mahal, would they have destroyed it same way, as they did to EDI Institute? Security agencies could have shown restrain and dealt with two terrorists in a manner that could have caused minimum damage to the building. A common Kashmiri gets hurt when he has to listen sermons about significance of EDI and education as if he has chosen to live in a stone age."
A Kashmir watcher while reacting to his statement said, "Er Rashid seems to be suggesting that security forces should have allowed terrorists to escape rather than killing them. Someone needs to ask him is he the sympathizer of terrorists or a legislator?"
He said, "As far as MLA's narrative about Kashmiris having chosen to live in a stone age is concerned he should put this question to the separatists and the agents of Pakistan, who have pushed Kashmir towards the stone-age and have brought normal life across the Valley to a grinding halt for the past three months. As stone-pelting is losing steam, now Pak agents are asking terrorists to attack the camps of the security forces and vital buildings like the EDI."
An analyst said, "It's not for the first time that Er Rashid has tried to appease the separatists and the terrorists he has been doing it for a long time. Despite getting the salary in Indian currency he acts like a Pakistani agent, who is on the pay roll of ISI. Police and security agencies should tighten their noose around this MLA, who despite being under oath to safeguard the sovereignty and the integrity of the country, leaves no stone unturned to indulge in anti-national activities."
He said, "Instead of questioning the motive of militants to attack the EDI building Er Rashid is pointing fingers towards the security forces, who meticulously carried out the operation and ensured that no civilian or soldier is killed in the gunfight." |
