Jammu, Oct 13: one person died on spot and two others got injured when a Truck plunged into deep gorge at Sherbibi area of Banihal today.Police said that the ill-fated Truck bearing registration number JKO2BJ-5075 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve, resulting the vehicle hit the parapet and landed into 250 feet deep gorge at Sherbibi on Jammu Srinagar National highway.
On getting information, Banihal police rushed to the spot and started rescue with help of, IHRO, Red Cross, volunteers and shifted all injured to sub district hospital Ramban, where one of the injured was declared brought dead by doctors. The deceased has been identified as Sohan Lal (31) son of Raday Sham of Puney Tehsil & District Reasi.
FIR no 141 of 2016 under section 279,337,304-A has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started. |
