RAMBAN, Oct 13: Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the BEACON authorities by District Magistrate, Ramban Mohammad Aijaz, in exercise of powers vested under section 133 of Cr PC for ignoring the maintenance of the Sanasar road thereby creating public nuisance and causing grave discomfort to public from KM 01 to KM 10 of the road towards Sanasar. According to a notice served to the Chief Engineer, BEACON Srinagar under Section 133 of Cr.PC, by the District Magistrate, Ramban, the BEACON has been served with show-cause notice for not repairing the Sanasar road from 1 Km to 10 Km stretch despite being asked through a letter dated 12-08-2016 following a public representation made before DM during his visit to Sanasar sometime back. The concerned BEACON authorities have exhibited "insensitive" approach in repairing the said stretch of road and have been directed to repair it within a period of ten days. In the said notice it has been mentioned that Sanasar is a prominent tourist resort and so the public in general and the tourists in particular visiting their cannot be deprived of smooth traffic road. |
