Strange might appears the headline above, but this is the message conveyed by the police officials and Government Medical College staff (through their attitude) to 'Early Times' staff on intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Members of staff from the publication while on way back to their homes during the night at around 11.30 pm spotted an injured person lying in pool of blood near graveyard at Sarwal. On approaching near they could feel that the injured person was alive and considering their duty as responsible citizens, they rushed to a near by police post to inform about the incident. But, no one at the police post listened to the three newspaper staffers who, also, in the meantime were joined by two passersby. Much to the astonishment of the five, only munshi (Farooq) was on duty while other officials were either missing or were asleep in an adjoining room.

Srinagar, Oct 19 The Jammu and Kashmir government will soon modify the Tourism Trade Act, 1978 to make it broad-based, more relevant and tourist friendly.
This was informed by Tourism Minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir while interacting with members of the Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Owners Federation at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here.
He said some new initiatives were being taken to promote winter tourism and adventure tourism in the state.
