A day before his retirement from the government services, the Financial Commissioner Revenue, Gurmukh Das Wadhwa has submitted to the government his recommendations on rehabilitation of refugees drawn from West Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
A 1972 batch IAS officer, son of soil, GD Wadhwa is retiring from the government services tomorrow. He was senior to the present Chief Secretary BR Kundal but could not reach the top post as just few months had remained for his superannuation when the CS was appointed.

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today visited Jagti and Nagrota to inspect pace of work on construction of residential accommodation for Kashmiri migrants and asked the project executing agencies to complete the work within stipulated time.
Taken up under the PM's Reconstruction Programme, the township at Jagti would comprise 4218 sets consisting of 176 blocks involving a cost of Rs. Rs.253 crores.
