| Hideout busted in Ramban ahead of CM’s rally | | | | Jammu, April 12
Ahead of chief minister’s rally in Ramban town, security forces busted a hideout and recovered arms and ammunition from general area of Nachlana on Jammu Srinagar National Highway, here today.
Acting on a tip-off security personnel raided Nachlana area on Jammu Srinagar national highway and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition, official sources told News Agency of Kashmir. However no arrest was made in this connection.
As per reports one pika gun, two magazines, 40 rounds, one radio set, one Chinese hand grenade and one UBGL grenade was recovered from the area.

‘Donot hype the increasing number of tourist arrivals in Jammu and Kashmir keeping in view the safety of the tourists, state Tourism Minister Dilawar Mir on Wednesday said requesting media men not to rake up the issue further.

| | | | Another soldier commits suicide | | | | Srinagar, April 12
Yet another soldier has committed suicide in Jammu and Kashmir. Pradeep Yadav shot himself inside a heavily guarded camp of the anti-insurgency Rashtriya Rifles in Baramulla district, police said Thursday.
Yadav killed himself with his service rifle Wednesday night inside the headquarters of the 55 Rashtriya Rifles in Apalna village in Baramulla, 60 km from here.
Yadav died before he could be taken to hospital, a police official said. The reason behind the suicide is not yet known and an inquiry has been ordered.
This is the third incident of suicide in the past 20 days - a trend that is worrying senior security officers.

Police Thursday filed a second charge sheet in the infamous Kashmir fake encounter scam before the court of the chief judicial magistrate Srinagar.
Seven police officials and five army personnel have been accused of killing Molvi Shoukat Khatana, Imam (priest) of a mosque, resident of Bannihal Jammu in a staged shootout and later passed off as a militant.

In 2003, the NPAs figure stood at Rs 1412.39 lacs but soared upto Rs 2995.8 lacs in the year 2005, as per the inference drawn by District Audit Officers (DAOs)
