JAMMU, Apr 28: Underscoring on providing quality education to students, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand said that the government endeavors to universalize school education and exemplary initiatives have been taken to further the cause of education in the state. He said private education institutions are doing a commendable job in the field of imparting quality value based education to the students.
“Private Schools are doing a commendable job in the field of education but besides imparting quality education to their wards they should also step forward to share social responsibility by adopting talented poor children of society and give such students an opportunity to excel in life,” he appealed.
Mr. Tara Chand was addressing a jam packed gathering on the Annual Prize Distribution Day of JK Public School Panjtirthi, here today. He was chief guest on the occasion.

JAMMU, Apr 28: To meet the requirement of drinking water in Khawaskah pind, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Mr. Raman Bhalla said that Government has approved Rs. 2.5 crore under Water Supply Scheme Khawaskah, adding that under the scheme, a deep drill tube well and Over Head Tank of one-lakh storage capacity will be constructed soon after completing the codal formalities.
